All time favorite, and the first Buddha I have not wanted to post for sale in many years, as my heart melted the first time I laid eyes on him and I wanted to claim him for my own. He is the best of Thai sculpture- EARLY (13th/early 14th C) Sukothai Walking Buddha-rounded body with defined buttocks, short, thick well formed limbs lead to elegant yet broad hands and wide thick feet. Later Sukothai sculpture became more remote-this fellow is warm and loving and fully present...

This is a special form of protective Buddha from Burma- "Lotus Buddha". Considered good luck, and to be protective-especially from fire. Very fine face- s 10 1/2 inches tall x 6 inches across x 4 1/2 inches deep.
