Classical English Porcelain Sculpture Of Hercules Lusterware c.1900 A beautiful and rare work measuring 18 in tall
The body is composed of two phoenixes, the heads of the birds naturally forming the handles. The stone is very hard, green speckled with translucent white. The cover is also formed of 2 birds, it is not pierced so it is possible that it is not a censer, although it can be used without a cover. It is placed on a finely carved hardwood base. There are some numbers stamped inside, probably so as not to mix up the bases. China 20th century around the 70s. Good condition...

Contemporary hardwood console table. Made of naturally formed root wood. The back edge is flat but also finished so it can either sit flush against a wall or be left free standing. The natural finish of the wood is a light blond color with an attractive grain pattern.

A gray soapstone carving of a blubbery walrus, measuring roughly 8" by 2" by 2". These carvings, which make great paperweights, sold as tourist art in northern, Arctic regions of Canada at mid century remain popular, and a secondary market has evolved. The artist has reduced the familiar animal to a stylized, modern form. Condition is good with no chips. See several other similar works in my shop.

This superb carving is in very good condition and carved from Arctic marble. It measures 12" in length and is beautifully carved by Davidee Mannumi ("Manumi"), a highly respected Inuit Carver who worked for a large part of his life in Cape Dorset. The syllabic signature reads "Manumi"...
Contemporary jadeite carving. This is a very nice newer carving. The color is unusual, light blue green with a little amber spread here and there. Carved as an ear of corn with the husk peeled off, a small plant (maybe pepper) is carved around the bottom.
