Maya's purses are most unique, and this one is especially so. The elegantly hand carved peacock has "feathers" that wrap completely around the purse. Carved flowering branches have been added to give an oriental look. As with all Maya purses, her cartouche is evident on the back of the purse.6 1/2" wide, 5" high, 2 1/2" front to back. Antiqued metal chain and crystals is 45" long.

A finely carved and moulded Zisha clay stoneware teapot with a Tang dynasty style marbed band and with applied leaf and Prunus blossom decoration. This item was made in the vicinity of the city of Yixing, Jiangsu province, in the Yangze River Delta region of eastern China. The base carries the impressed sealmark of its maker Kuai Xin Long born 25th May 1964. Condition: excellent - no damages and no restoration. 18cm (7 inches) long; 11.5cm (4.5 inches) high.
