Here is a gorgeous ring, made recently in the Art Nouveau style. It consists of blue enameled flowers (each centered by a diamond), pink enameled foliage, and trails of tiny diamonds in a band. So pretty! Made from 18k yellow gold (and marked 18k, as well as having a maker's mark), it has a nice weight (8.5g), yet is elegant and graceful. Here is a graceful fairy, made in the Art Nouveau style. While new, she still conveys the design ethos of a bygone era. Oddly, during the Nouveau era β roughly 1890β1915 - very few fairy jewels were made, except some really high-end ones by designers such as Lalique. She is made from 18k yellow gold, and her wings are plique a jour (translucent enamel). The colors shade from pink to almost white, and then into green...

Generous in size and carefully made with a nice selection of blue turquoise cabochons, this 1980s Mexican silver bracelet is obviously based on Matilde Poulat's original designs. It is signed by a maker who was active in the pre-1980 period as well and whose quality Matl-style jewelry I am always on the look out. Adorned with scrolling textured wire-work and beading the oblong links hold three channel-set turquoise each and their oxidation makes the blues in the stones pop...

Heavy Mexican silver and black onyx modernist necklace, this is a 1980s copy of an Antonio Pineda original. The necklace's trapezoidal links are graduated in size and strung as tight as is necessary to allow it to sit perfect around the neck. The central links, thirteen in number, hold cabochons set in raised bezels. Very nicely made, a necklace that epitomizes the less-is-more attitude that characterizes a lot of Antonio's designs. Measuring 16" long (wearable) with its width varying between 1"...
