This unique pendant measures 2" L x 1 1/2" W x 1/4" H. On its circular / oval frame, it has several circular, concave, oxidized disks, varying in size. The back is marked 925.

The center signature "P" cane is ringed by white, yellow, pink, and green canes on a green field. 1.875" in diameter, the weight is in mint condition.

Mayoke Yama Uba, Shinshuu (Nagano Prefecture.) Wood with bark intact, and straw rope. This folk toy depicts a Yama Uba (Mountain Hag) who is also called Yamamba in other parts of Japan. "Mayoke" means "amulet" or "charm," so the item is intended to ward off evil or bad luck, even though Yama Uba are often referred to in stories much like the bogey man is depicted in America...
