A striking hand carved sculpture of a female, likely mid to late 20th century, measuring approximately 17 3/4" in height and 6" in width. When you look at the work, it is easy to see how Picasso, Vlaminck, Derain and Matisse were so influenced by African sculpture. The face and profile of the head are classic; they remind of the haunting, brooding, mysterious, giant stone figures of remote Easter Island in the Pacific.

A trio of hand woven baskets, with apparent designs of the southwestern United States, although the pieces may well have been created elsewhere. The largest is 20 3/4" in diameter, the middle piece 17 1/4", and the smallest 14 3/4"; and the largest is 7 1/2" in height.
