This is beautiful Imperial Japanese Satsuma Koro 5 in height 5.1/2 in diameter is very good condition with no damage has original rid.
The Koro has wonderful hand painted work with raise gold from Edo- Meiji era.
Takao Takei was very prolific artist, best known for illustrating children’s books. He created numerous artworks, mostly woodblock prints, and his famous limited edition series of printed books titled “Kanpon” pushed the limits of printing. These volumes were regularly printed as updates in the Kanpon series, with articles by Takao and other scholars.
