Here's an unusual item for the collector of early California art, illustration art, or baseball related art.......an ink on paper drawing showing President William Howard Taft throwing out the (first?) baseball......signed at center right and dated 1910, when the artist would have been 18 or 19 years old (some sources report his birth year as 1891). This is a real favorite of mine. A signed photograph of Rhode Island Reds Hockey team general manager, Lou Pieri(1897-1967). The inscription in ball point pen is a bit indistinct but reads " The Best RI Reds Team Ever Lou Pieri". I'm assuming these are the wives of the players. Pieri was an American basketball and ice hockey executive and coach( see Wikipedia for further information). The 8X10 B&W photo has some creasing and minor wear at the bottom and top edge; the frame shows some wear.
