Prior to 1901 the slight, dark-haired performer was known as "Dainty Daisy Dimple". She had a pantomime career and performed in one silent movie, "Potted Pantomimes", with Lillian Russell. Later, in 1935, she performed in one talking picture, "City of Beautiful Nonsense"...

This 1970 era, laser cut, Ramada Inn Hotel and Restaurant advertising sign sports patriotically-colored red, white and blue detailing. The sign highlights Ramada's SPECIAL GOLF PACKAGES and its very humorously-named "DUFFERS LOUNGE"! (In golf, a duffer is a mediocre or poor golfer.).

The 2 inch thick wood sign measures 20 inches long by 5.5 inches wide and is in very good condition...

A clean fresh copy of the 2013 book "Montaro Caine", by the famed, late Bahamian-American actor SIDNEY POITIER (1927-2022). This is a first edition with clean dust jacket, signed in ballpoint pen. Poitier will be forever noted as the first African-American actor to win an Academy Award. He is renowned for his achievements in the world of acting and films, but was also a talented writer. Upon his death, there was an outpouring of commentary from figures inside and outside Hollywood.

A clean, fresh copy of the 2011 book "If You Ask Me", by the late American actress Betty White (1922-2021). This was the sixth book written by the beloved actress and pop culture icon. White passed away just short of her 100th birthday, for which a celebration had been planned. Like George Burns, she was noted for her longevity. The actress was active and in the public spotlight long after most would have retired...

A small (5 3/4" by 4 3/4" framed) printed poem titled "Mother Dear", with a sentimental message of the period, circa early 1930's. The gold paint and faint color at bottom appear to be hand-applied. On reverse is written in pencil "Billy/May 13 1934", and an old period framer's label from downtown Los Angeles adds further charm. A sweet item.

Ca 1960 A vintage leather purse with an ornate gilt design on both sides purchased in Florence. The gilt is in excellent condition; the leather interior is somewhat discolored. The other side is nicely embossed. 9-3/4" x 6-1/4'

Measuring 5.75" wide x 8.25" long x 6" high, this C1890s, unique and interestingly designed school lunch box has four parts: the base, which is 4" deep, the lid, a removable handled cup cleverly fitted to the top of the lunchbox lid, and a removal interior tray to dine upon that rests on a small edge inside the base!

Constructed of tin with well-executed soldered seams and rolled edges on nearly all areas which are smooth and comfortable to the touch.

A PAIR of vintage movie posters, "Lost in America" (1985) and "Defending Your Life" (1991), both hand signed in black marker by the noted comedian, actor and writer ALBERT BROOKS. His best-received film, Lost in America (1985), featured Brooks and Julie Hagerty as a couple who leave their yuppie lifestyle and drop out of society to live in a motor home as they have always dreamed of doing, meeting disappointment...

An original Mexican movie poster, for a movie released in 1952, "Mujer de Medianoche", starring Gloria Marin and Victor Junco, directed by Victor Urruchua, the artwork dated 1950 by Carlos Vega. Apparently there was some delay in releasing the film. This example retains the electric blue and yellow color, but the very fragile, acidic, thin paper on which this was printed has deteriorated seriously with time and careless handling...
