Measuring 5 3/4 inches high x 4 1/4 inches wide x 2 3/4 inches deep, this darling salesman's sample case advertises the Wholesale Grocers, Loverin and Browne Company. This Chicago, Illinois, company established business in 1872.

This diminutive tin case is painted black with gold accenting and gold lettering present on the front of the case. The black paint shows reasonable wear given its 130+ years of age with the majority of wear evident along seam lines and at the base...

A vintage note on Mary Poppins stationery, (6 1/2" by 4 1/2" sheet, and 10 1/2" by 13" framed--no glass), written in brown ink, signed by actress and Hollywood icon JULIE ANDREWS (born 1935), framed along with a circa 1980 photo of her (no glass). This bag looks like it's made of bakelite, but it doesn't test as such. I went and learned a lot about early plastics from Andrea DeNoto's book, " Art Plastic," and the best I can come up with is Thermoset Phenolic Resin. That said, whatever the material, this is an extraordinary bag in extraordinary condition. Except for some light surface wear on the back side of the clutch, the bag seems perfect...

Certainly the finest and most decorative vintage chocolate box we've come across! This is a c1930s-40s (we think) paper wrapped box with an applied print of two kittens on the top. The textured paper wrap is wallpaper thick with lush gold highlights, and this box has a gold Urney applique. The original tied ribbon is also present on this 13-3/4 x 9-3/4" box, which has the original sticker on the bottom (CHOCOLATES - 1-1/2 LB NET MANUFACTURED IN THE REPUBLIC OF IRELAND)...

This tie pin features the colors of The American Flag. It has red, white and blue rhinestones prong set in goldtone. It measures 3/8" x 3/8". It is in strikingly, excellent condition and hard to find.

Original movie poster, 1963, for the film "The Stripper", starring then-young Joanne Woodward, and Robert Webber, Louis Nye, and Gypsy Rose Lee. The poster measures 39 1/2" by 26" (45" by 32" framed, behind easy-ship Plexi). There is hand-numbering at bottom right, "63/123", and I do not know what to make of that since this would been unlikely to have been printed in such a low edition...

An attractive Victorian 12-3/4" long painted silk and bone fan with flowers. This unsigned fan is attractively painted on one side with pink flowers and leaves, and the bone supports are unadorned. This item is in very good original condition with no chips, cracks, major tears or stains, losses, damage or repairs other than some minor fraying to the silk at the ends...

This is a pair of (unmarked but tested) sterling silver boot or shoe toe tips. They measure 4-3/4" around the front and they are 1-1/16" at their widest. They have holes for attachment to your footwear, and they weigh 32.7 grams. This pair is in very good condition with no bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than some scratches and scrapes from kicking stuff. Now YOU can kick 'em too...

ONE OF TWO BY THE PHOTOGRAPHER, OF THIS SUBJECT, IN MY SHOP: A vintage, circa early 1930's original photograph of early screen actress and Hollywood socialite Marion Davies (1897-1961), bearing the stamp with the artist's name on reverse. The piece measures 13" by 10", and 18 1/2" by 14 1/2" in modern black wood framing (which exhibits two scraped areas as illustrated). Bull was a prominent portrait and still photographer with the Hollywood studios, head of MGM's stills department for 40 years...

A very attractive German made 9 x 5-3/4" gold plated brass mounted glass bead floral purse c1920. This purse has deep purple, black, blue, turquoise, green, light green, pink, lilac, red, amber and yellow beads with beaded fringe along the bottom.
