Movie promotional poster for 1995's film "The American President" starring Michael Douglas and Annette Bening, directed by Rob Reiner, AUTOGRAPHED in gold marker by both Douglas and Reiner. The poster, 41" by 26 1/4", is currently shrink wrapped (not framed, but possibly "museum mounted" if a reverse gallery label for "Museum Mount" gallery be an indicator)...
A classic 9" by 7" black and white photo of George Burns holding a cigar, an impish grin on his face, inscribed in yellow (or ink that has faded to yellow) "Best, George Burns" at lower left. Burns (1896-1996) was an American actor, singer, and writer whose career in entertainment spanned many, many decades. With the passage of time, the photo has stuck to the glass at upper right and I am afraid to try to remove it. In a simple inexpensive frame.
A classic, circa 1980 or early 1980's photograph of famed American actress and singer BARBARA STREISAND (1942-). I am guessing on the age but she looks to be about 40 or so in the photo, and the permed hair is of that period----and then, there are those fishnets. The piece is signed boldly in blue marker at lower right "Best Wishes/Barbara Streisand". The piece measures 11" by 9" framed. Streisand of course is world-renowned as an entertainer...
A circa early 1960's black and white photo of famous actress Leslie Caron (1931-), the actress appearing very young, with her famous sassy short haircut, inscribed at lower right in somewhat faded ink "Pour George Ghira/Souvenir de/Leslie Caron". The name of the recipient might be "Ghica", or even another variant---difficult to decipher. Caron of course is the actress known for "Gigi", "An American in Paris", and so forth...
A PAIR of watercolor and ink original drawings of elegant women in their elegant period finery, circa 1900, in matching oval late 20th century gold frames (14 1/2" by 11 1/2 as framed), one signed at lower right "F Siedle". These traditional works would make for fine additions to a lady's dressing area or bedroom.
Circa early to mid 1960's image of actress Joanne Woodward (1930-), hand signed and inscribed "To Tom Best Wishes Joanne Woodward" in blue marker. The photo (7 1/2" by 9 1/2", 10 1/2" by 12" in simulated wood frame) is I believe a reprint of a sixties image of the actress in her prime, and signed at a later date. Woodward of course was married for fifty years to actor Paul Newman, with whom she appeared in ten films, and with whom she collaborated on many others...
An interesting selection of barbed wire of the Early West dating from 1872 to 1884, the board titled at top "THE WIRE THAT FENCED THE WEST"; samples are identified in handwriting by type. Some of the early barbed wire is quite scarce and rare; collectors know what is and what is not. All in all, excellent memorabilia for the aficionado of the Early West. The piece measures 12" by 12".
Antique Victorian era lady's hand fan ("opera fan"), framed shadow box style, the fan itself 16 1/2" by 10 1/2" as fully opened, the printed images on the fan of feminine, delicate young dancing ladies, floral and leaf motifs bordering, the base worked mother of pearl with floral designs, as well as a most unusual VANITY MIRROR at far right, modern typeface in the box stating "Opera Fan With Mirror/Nannie Campbell Moore 1858 New Orleans"...

VINTAGE DETEX GUARDSMAN STATION TRIP CLOCK
WITH ORIGINAL LEATHER STRAP AND CASE - I worked at the Southern Pacific Railroad in the 1910 Pacific Electric Building in the 60’s at corner of Main Street & 6th Street. I found the Station Time Clocks in the attack and bought them from Chuck Smith the old watchman of the building, a railroad employee. Comes with the 2 original keys...
This is a black and white photo, 7 1/2" by 7", (10 1/4" by 9 1/4" as simply framed), signed by hand, in ink, at lower right "Nelson Eddy". I'm offering it simply as Hollywood or Nelson Eddy memorabilia, as after comparing the signature with others viewable on line, I feel it possible that this was not actually signed by him. Condition is excellent and this is ready to hang on your wall if you are a fan of this singer...
A vintage note on Mary Poppins stationery, (6 1/2" by 4 1/2" sheet, and 10 1/2" by 13" framed--no glass), written in brown ink, signed by actress and Hollywood icon JULIE ANDREWS (born 1935), framed along with a circa 1980 photo of her (no glass). The note reads "For Laura--/With love and all good wishes/from/Julie Andrews/"Mary Poppins"...
An early 20th century reproduction print of famed Belle Epoque actress SARAH BERNHARDT (1844-1923), **HAND SIGNED/INSCRIBED** by her. The signature is in ink at lower right (guaranteed her original ink signature and not printed). The print is after the 1879 etching by artist Jules Bastien-Lepage. This print under magnification has the dot matrix confirming it is a reproduction and not an original etching. The value is in the autograph and inscription...
An original gouache on board painting with some airbrush, titled at bottom "ED WYNN", the subject actor Ed Wynn (1886-1966), who famously dressed in red fire hat and costume in the 1930's pioneering radio show "The Fire Chief", sponsored by oil company Texaco. Wynn was an American actor and comedian who started in Vaudeville in 1903 and moved on to the Ziegfeld Follies in 1914...
An example of a very scarce and desirable poster, issued in 1977 in Glendale, California, featuring a montage of images of Johnny Weissmuller (1904-1984), the actor who famously played the role of Tarzan in the series of movies between 1932 and 1948. Weissmuller signed in magic marker at lower center, and the piece is numbered 976/1500 at lower right. Weissmuller was an Olympic gold swimmer in the 1920's, and he brought the athletic physique to Hollywood, with lasting impact...
An opportunity to acquire TWO items autographed later in life by the grand dame of Hollywood, Katharine Houghton Hepburn (May 12, 1907 – June 29, 2003). Hepburn was a leading lady in Hollywood for more than 60 years, and received a record four Academy Awards for Best Actress...
This is one unusual painting.........40" by 57" (with frame a whopping 46 1/2" by 64"), oil on masonite, signed at lower right by HIGHLY IMPORTANT, INTERNATIONALLY RENOWNED aviation artist R.G...
This is a very unique item........NOT a print! It is an original drawing in pastel and gouache on a soft old board, measuring 40" by 30" extreme dimensions. The subject is a lovely young Gloria Swanson in a classic 20's 'do, probably created for some kind of advertising purpose like a lobby card, poster, etc., although I haven't found any printed item corresponding to this particular work (though I haven't looked exhaustively). See the net for much more information on the classic 1924 silent ...
This is a rather whimsical piece of Automobilia......a presentation to Capt. Eddie Rickenbacker, the World War I flying ace, at a special dinner in New York in 1924. The sheet inside the mat measures 11 1/2" by 17 1/2" ( 17 1/4" by 23 1/4" as framed). Written up in a humorous style, the note commends Rickenbacker for his flying victories and makes a number of humorous commentaries contemporary to the times, all referring to his then-budding career as an automobile manufacturer. Rickenbacker's...
