A classic 9" by 7" black and white photo of George Burns holding a cigar, an impish grin on his face, inscribed in yellow (or ink that has faded to yellow) "Best, George Burns" at lower left. Burns (1896-1996) was an American actor, singer, and writer whose career in entertainment spanned many, many decades. With the passage of time, the photo has stuck to the glass at upper right and I am afraid to try to remove it. In a simple inexpensive frame.

Circa early to mid 1960's image of actress Joanne Woodward (1930-), hand signed and inscribed "To Tom Best Wishes Joanne Woodward" in blue marker. The photo (7 1/2" by 9 1/2", 10 1/2" by 12" in simulated wood frame) is I believe a reprint of a sixties image of the actress in her prime, and signed at a later date. Woodward of course was married for fifty years to actor Paul Newman, with whom she appeared in ten films, and with whom she collaborated on many others...

An interesting selection of barbed wire of the Early West dating from 1872 to 1884, the board titled at top "THE WIRE THAT FENCED THE WEST"; samples are identified in handwriting by type. Some of the early barbed wire is quite scarce and rare; collectors know what is and what is not. All in all, excellent memorabilia for the aficionado of the Early West. The piece measures 12" by 12".

The set appears to have never been used! All blocks are present and are in wonderful condition! An antique pair of Niagara falls souvenir milk glass spills or mantle vases. These vintage 6" inch tall vases have sprayed-on green colour and hand painted scenes of the falls with thickly dabbed white "foam". The legend SOUVENIR OF NIAGARA FALLS is painted in gold, and these vases show the roughness, straw marks and flaws typical of such souvenir ware.
