This wonderful vintage hospital sign from the 1920's once hung in a small central South Carolina hospital, as told by the 91 year old seller from whom it was purchased.

Taken right out of her sewing room where it had hung for decades on the wall, the black and gold sign, which is painted on a heavy particle-type board, has a very lovely, warm, aged patina. It was very difficult to photograph as the black background paint readily picked up the slightest light source...

Offered is a very nice 1950 - 1960s era painted wood sign found in a Myrtle Beach antiques shop.

This double sided sign has the same word "WATERFRONT" painted on each side. The white background and bold black stenciled lettering are identical.

Original movie poster, 1963, for the film "The Stripper", starring then-young Joanne Woodward, and Robert Webber, Louis Nye, and Gypsy Rose Lee. The poster measures 39 1/2" by 26" (45" by 32" framed, behind easy-ship Plexi). There is hand-numbering at bottom right, "63/123", and I do not know what to make of that since this would been unlikely to have been printed in such a low edition...

This is a rather whimsical piece of Automobilia......a presentation to Capt. Eddie Rickenbacker, the World War I flying ace, at a special dinner in New York in 1924. The sheet inside the mat measures 11 1/2" by 17 1/2" ( 17 1/4" by 23 1/4" as framed). Written up in a humorous style, the note commends Rickenbacker for his flying victories and makes a number of humorous commentaries contemporary to the times, all referring to his then-budding career as an automobile manufacturer...

This is a very unique item........NOT a print! It is an original drawing in pastel and gouache on a soft old board, measuring 40" by 30" extreme dimensions. The subject is a lovely young Gloria Swanson in a classic 20's 'do, probably created for some kind of advertising purpose like a lobby card, poster, etc., although I haven't found any printed item corresponding to this particular work (though I haven't looked exhaustively)...

This is one unusual painting.........40" by 57" (with frame a whopping 46 1/2" by 64"), oil on masonite, signed at lower right by HIGHLY IMPORTANT, INTERNATIONALLY RENOWNED aviation artist R.G. (Robert Grant) Smith. This painting belongs in a museum, and I welcome institution inquiries. The subject is monumental.........the Douglas DC-8, DC-9 and DC-10 jet aircraft, flying in formation through puffy clouds...

An example of a very scarce and desirable poster, issued in 1977 in Glendale, California, featuring a montage of images of Johnny Weissmuller (1904-1984), the actor who famously played the role of Tarzan in the series of movies between 1932 and 1948. Weissmuller signed in magic marker at lower center, and the piece is numbered 976/1500 at lower right. Weissmuller was an Olympic gold swimmer in the 1920's, and he brought the athletic physique to Hollywood, with lasting impact...

An original gouache on board painting with some airbrush, titled at bottom "ED WYNN", the subject actor Ed Wynn (1886-1966), who famously dressed in red fire hat and costume in the 1930's pioneering radio show "The Fire Chief", sponsored by oil company Texaco. Wynn was an American actor and comedian who started in Vaudeville in 1903 and moved on to the Ziegfeld Follies in 1914...

This print under magnification has the dot matrix confirming it is a reproduction and not an original etching...

A vintage note on Mary Poppins stationery, (6 1/2" by 4 1/2" sheet, and 10 1/2" by 13" framed--no glass), written in brown ink, signed by actress and Hollywood icon JULIE ANDREWS (born 1935), framed along with a circa 1980 photo of her (no glass). The note reads "For Laura--/With love and all good wishes/from/Julie Andrews/"Mary Poppins". The sheet is browned with age and there is a soft diagonal crease in the top portion; in "Julie" there is a small hole in the paper, perhaps created when pen...

This is a black and white photo, 7 1/2" by 7", (10 1/4" by 9 1/4" as simply framed), signed by hand, in ink, at lower right "Nelson Eddy". I'm offering it simply as Hollywood or Nelson Eddy memorabilia, as after comparing the signature with others viewable on line, I feel it possible that this was not actually signed by him. Condition is excellent and this is ready to hang on your wall if you are a fan of this singer. Eddy's biography, found on line: "Nelson Ackerman Eddy (June 29, 1901 – ...

Circa early to mid 1960's image of actress Joanne Woodward (1930-), hand signed and inscribed "To Tom Best Wishes Joanne Woodward" in blue marker. The photo (7 1/2" by 9 1/2", 10 1/2" by 12" in simulated wood frame) is I believe a reprint of a sixties image of the actress in her prime, and signed at a later date. Woodward of course was married for fifty years to actor Paul Newman, with whom she appeared in ten films, and with whom she collaborated on many others. Today she is said to be aff...

These traditional works would make for fine additions to a lady's dressing area or bedroom.
