A group of 5 Aterian flint tools of unusual shapes from Bir el Ater, Algeria. All in excellent condition, legal surface finds. Heights between 2 1/8" and 2 5/8". These may have been hafted scrapers. The Aterian industry in Saharan Africa ranged from approximately 145,000 BCE to 30,000 BCE, and was loosely centered through Saharan Africa into the Mid-east (Oman). These lithic probably date to about 45,000 BCE.
