A group of three Neanderthal scrapers and one naturally backed blade from Marbach, Germany. Chert, heights all at 2 3/8". Ground patina, all legal excavation finds. Minor chips to all four. The naturally backed blade is third from the left. This group of smaller lithics exhibits a wide variety of scraper edges, small notches and borer tips, making them highly effective tools despite their smaller size. Dating to 80,000-50,000 BCE.

An absolutely magnificent unheated, untreated ruby from the famed gem mines of Mogok in Burma weighing an immense 4.37ct. Gorgeous shade of almost pure ‘traffic light’ red, absolutely beautiful! The stone is, inevitably, clearly included as virtually all Unheated Burma ruby of this size will be...
A fine green specimen of Malachite. Malachite is a green copper mineral. It has a natural deep, shimmery green color and a magnificent form. Malachite, with its beautiful, rich green color, leaves no doubt of its importance as a jewel. Its opaque strength and power demands respect, mesmerizing the viewer. Yet the movement, flow and energy in its lines, circles and designs soothe and welcome. It was one of the first ores used to produce copper metal.

Neanderthal Sub-triangular biface axe. Flint, height 3 7/8". Legal surface find, Grand-Pressigny region, France. Overall excellent condition, one small chip on the right near the distal end. Interesting, art-brut sort of axe, apparently made using hard hammer percussion (stone on stone). Possibly a tool made in the field for some more immediate purpose. Dates to approximately 80,000-50,000 BCE.

Zen Kitsch
An interesting example of cultural exchange around WWII. This book was originally published in 1936; this 1947 printing from Tokyo, while Japan was still occupied and recovering from the destruction of war, is of inferior quality as a book but a fascinating historical artefact. Broken binding reveals what appears to be re-purposed newspaper used in the creation. Covers feel to be cardboard or similar.
