Rome mint, 3.01 grams. Struck under Antoninus Pius, circa AD 146-161. Veiled and draped bust right / Draped throne against which rests a scepter; peacock below.

A nice grouping of five Neanderthal tools on flakes from Fontmaure, France. Legal surface finds, all jasper in perfect condition with fine, semi-glossy to glossy ground patinas. lengths ranging from 2 1/8"- 4". All five are multi-tools with a complex series of flaked edges. #2354 (second from the left) has a beautiful bulb of percussion. The lithic to the right is a burin with both a finely flaked convex and concave scraper. All date to approximately 50,000 BCE.
