This is a fine bible book cover with astonishing hand chased repoussé work of Jesus Christ and his four apostles on the cover and back. The bible was printed in Oxford by the University Press in 1953 and is a translation out of an original Greek version with the former translations diligently compared and revised by His Majesty's special command.
The silver cover is marked 900 and looks to be made earlier than 1953. The lock opens and closes properly. There are no scratches nor marks on this...
