This appears to be a second edition. A lovely little book with illustrated green cloth boards stamped in gilt.Very slight fading on the spine. Black and white illustrations/plates.Pages are tight though they have yellowed.

A hard cover with blue boards embossed with faint gilt lettering and design. Published by Alfred Knopf New York 1946 and translated from the Icelandic by J.A. Thompson.The boards show some wear on the edges and staining otherwise in good condition.

A fun book on Japanese poems translated by K Florenz and then by A Lloyd; published by Hasegawa in 1895 (Meiji 29th year); printed on crepe paper and bound in the Japanese style. Book is in the original cardboard fitted box cover.missing.
Very good condition with no tears or stains. All pages are there with no damage. Cardboard case has the oriental tie inserts to keep cover closed. Tie insert is missing.
