This RARE old stanhope is a carved wooden (likely, ebonized wood) animal (something indigenous to Northern Ireland: perhaps an Irish Stout?).

Fabulous midnight blue beaded box bag purse with tortoise Lucite top. It is in great condition. It measures 7.25" across. No signature inside, but it is definitely a designer lucite purse from the 1950/1960s. Black satin lining with elastic pocket. No condition problems, just a little wear on the metal finish of clasp.
