In the lower left printed in the negative, Abdullah Freres. 515” and in the lower right, “Les Chiens des rues.” The image is 7 7/8 inches (20 cm) by 10 1/8 inches (25.7 cm). It is presently corner mounted in a large mat 17 inches (43 cm) by 14 inches (35.5 cm). The tones are rich and the contrast good.

Condition: In a raking light three lines that look like partial creases are visible...

The paper is folded and curled at the bottom edge; there are also two small puncture marks in the upper right corner.

An interesting gold filled on silver (?) locket with an engine turned cover on either side lifting to reveal a close up daguerreotype of a well-dressed woman on one side and on the other side of the locket a well-dressed man. They both look to be around forty years old and perhaps since the locket has a stem and ring it was meant to be worn like a small pocket watch by a grown child of theirs. 1 ½ inches diameter, with the stem and ring an additional 5/8 inches long.

This is a lovely set of Cohr candlesticks with silverplate holders. It is in its original box and has never been used. The candlestick holders have a neat, mod design. They measure 3 3/4" (and are concave) x 2 1/8" x 3/4". They have good heft, weighing 5 ounces. They are marked Cohr with the Cohr maker's mark and DENMARK. They have quite good heft at 5 ounces.
