Over time the calcium carbonate skeleton of the coral was replaced by chalcedony, creating the bubbly appearing crystal growth (botryoidal formation). A fine green specimen of Malachite. Malachite is a green copper mineral. It has a natural deep, shimmery green color and a magnificent form.
