Very nice pair of sterling silver napkin rings in their original silk- and velvet-lined fitted box. The inside lid of the box is embossed with the mark "Viner's of Sheffield By Appointment To The Late King George V". Each napkin ring is fully hallmarked for Sheffield, England, 1966.

The Crinkle pattern was produced by Morgantown glass company in the late 1930's and into the 1960's. This is the 6 1/2 inch high juice or martini pitcher. Smart-looking "No. 250 Coldseal" aluminum cocktail shaker by Kraftware, ca. 1946. The shape is very interesting, tapering from a narrow footed base to broader shoulders and a bell-shaped top. Raised rings add to the look. Bottom is marked "Kraftware." 12.5" tall. Nice condition. This shaker looks terrific when highly polished!! A wonderful addition to your collection, and relatively hard to find!.

Very nice sterling silver Colonial-style porringer by Alvin Silver Co. Sterling porringers are a traditional gift for newborns, serving as a feeding dish. They are also suitable for mint/nut dishes or wine bottle coasters. The bottom is marked "Lullaby Sterling" which is a division of Alvin.

Horizon is a Fostoria pattern that was produced from 1951 to 1958. It is a perfect blend of 'fifties modern' and simple elegance. This bowl is 12 inches long and the color is teal green. If you have Russel Wright American Modern in Seafoam, it will go perfectly! Perfect condition.

These beautiful stems were designed by Reuben Haley and produced by the Consolidated Glass Company in the late 1920's. The pattern is called 'Five fruits' and is one of Consolidated's scarce tableware lines. A set of eight sterling silver cocktail forks in Alvin's popular 1953 "French Scroll" pattern. The design is very elegant and would blend nicely with a wide variety of other patterns. The forks could also be used for seafood. The backs are hallmarked by Alvin and have the pattern name.

Sterling and rosewood handmade very large salad set by William Spratling, Mexico, c.1947. This glorious design has a curled silver design from the rosewood to the salad spoon and fork which is repeated at the silver ends. Each piece is signed "WS(in script)925 (around which says)WILLIAM SPRATLING TAXCO MEXICO bellmark 30" and they are in excellent condition. Each piece is 12 3/4" long. Pair of nautilus-shaped silver and ebony handmade ashtrays by William Spratling, Mexico, c.1940. More a work of art than anything, this lush silver design sits on a silver base which then sits on a rectangular ebony base. They each have a curved oval at the top of the silver opening to hold the cigarette. In excellent condition, they each measure 2" high by 2 or 2 1/4" wide(hand made and not exactly the same)...

Classic cheese knife made of sterling and rosewood by Hector Aguilar, Mexico, c.1948. This heavy gauge silver piece shows a lush Mexican design with a curved sterling blade and measures 6 1/4" long. It is signed "HA(flared) STERLING TAXCO MEXICO 9(bellmark)TALLER BORDA" and is in good condition. There is an 3/4" slight age crack in the wood on one side and there is a bit of metal roughness at the outer edge on both sides that could be original...

Great Art Deco figural cocktail shaker in the form of a milk can. The shaker is entirely hand made from soldered sheet copper. A similar shaker in silverplate is pictured in Visakay, but this is the only copper version we've seen. The cork-stoppered lid removes to reveal a removable metal strainer. The bottom is stamped "H.E. Wright Company/Boston, Mass.".

Origin: America, circa 1930. Condition: excellent, no dings or leaks. Size: 11-3/4" tall.

Fostoria Glass Company made the 'Tut' vase in the mid 1920's when all things Egyptian were in style - along with the 'Art Deco' movement. This vase is 6 1/2 inches tall and in perfect condition. See my other listing for a green Tut vase to compliment this one.

Set of 6 Art Deco chrome and glass cocktail glasses in the rare “Blue Moon” pattern by the Chase Brass & Copper Co. The combination of the dark cobalt glass over the stepped bell-shaped chrome bases is a superb design. There are shown in Visakay’s book along with the “Blue Moon” cocktail shaker. The bottoms are marked with Chase’s logo.

A heavy Japanese Banko plate with bamboo, made by a Japanese Banko ceramist, Yamada Touka. There are holes on the back which makes it good for decoration.

This elegant hand made amethyst and silver bracelet is 6 ½ inches long and 3 quarters of an inch at the widest part. This bracelet is from a collection which we are selling for a retired Hong Kong jeweler. There are four pieces of amethyst which are surrounded by a small butterfly and leaf design. The two ends have larger butterflies and flowers. The workmanship of the wired silver is superb. It is an early 20th century product and it is in great shape. The back has a woven pattern...

The beautiful green color did not show up well in the pictures. I think it is much prettier. Both sides of the sleeves are soiled at the bottom area (see Enlargement6). The picture is lightened to show the area of stains. Actual stains do not show up as much in the large picture blending in with designs in the darker green (see Enlargement 1).

This wonderful children's dish set was produced by Hazel Atlas Glass during the 1940's. These sets were called "Little Hostess Party Play" sets and came in a variety of colors. A very nice set of 12 French-style linen cocktail napkins with a delightful woven rooster pattern. This is an especially colorful set made from very high quality fabric. Newer Japanese bridal hair ornaments with roses and chrysanthemums. The butterflies on the chrysanthemums are attached with springs and are pretty flimsy; there are crawling snails on the rose leaves. Beautifully detailed as you can see. Your hair may look little too busy if you are to wear these all at once unless you have a huge dimensional hairdo as they used to (or they still do for the special occasions) back in Japan...

Beautiful hand painted (dyed) iris on soft 100 percent silk. Some designs are dyed to be matched for the wider width. This is probably from mid Showa, 40 to 60 years old, no color loss. The spots and the design that run sideway are part of the woven design. Full roll and good quality silk. I will get the measurement.

Japanese Kyoto Nishijin silk obi roll. This is a soft, medium thick, high quality silk fabric with genuine high grade gold leaves woven in. Stamped Kyoto Nishijin and nishiki with a couple seals for passing quality checks. Some stains at the end (very left edge) - not likely to affect. The base silk is cream color. 28 1/2" x 163".

This type of fukusa is a cover placed over a gift at the time of a gift-giving ceremony such as "Yui-noh" which is prior to a wedding. A pair of cranes on the rocks by an ocean may symbolize the couple's long journey together. This beautiful shibori (tie-dye) is already cut to make a haori jacket. The skinny pieces under the arms are cut and attached by someone who knows what he is doing. It has not gone through Yunoshi, the process to stretch shibori using steam.
