Antique Raku Chawan of rarest color, made by the 1st Choraku Ogawa, one of the most legendary potters of the 20th century. The Chawan is in great antique condition and comes with its originally signed and sealed wooden box. No chips or repairs. Only natural inborn kiln cracks caused during firing.

One of a pair of a square shaped Famille Rose pattern covered salt cellar, made in China for export, circa 1920, featuring a hand painted design of active figures under a pagoda, the sides of the salt cellar painted with pink roses and green foliage. Measurements: 1" L x 3/4" H; Condition is excellent

In the mid-1930s, Venini engaged Carlo Scarpa to design innovative glass surface textures and this historical gem, "A BOLLICINE", survives in excellent condition! Kashigata, mold for making Japanese sweets, in the shape of a wasabi root. Carved wood, ca. early-mid 20th century. H.1.5"(3.75cm) x L.8.25"(21cm) x W.3.5"(8.75cm). Kashigata have long been in use for making molded sweets in Japan and many other parts of the world (especially Asia and Northern Europe.) In Japan, shapes often include felicitous or auspicious themes for luck, long life, wealth, etc. This one, shaped as a wasabi root, is unusual and interesting.

A classic figural sterling silver thimble jigger by Thomae & Co. The rim is engraved "Only A Thimble Full." The interior retains some of its original gilding. Several companies made variations of this jigger, but those by Thomae are among the best due to their superior weight and workmanship.

Origin: America, ca. 1935. Condition: excellent, no dings or monograms. Size: 2" tall. Weight: 36.3 grams.

Beautiful small Chinese jadeite plaque wonderfully carved with three peaches on a leafy branch. Carved, seamlessly, on both sides. Provenance: Estate of Reynold Tom of Oakland, CA. Age: Republic Period. Size: 1.75" Height.

A small delicately enamelled bottle vase painted in 18th Century Qianlong style. The base carries the four character mark of the Qianlong emperor (1736 - 1795) but this item was probably made during the 1930s in the Republic period. Condition - there is an old glued repair to the neck...

A well painted enamel on copper playing card box made in China circa 1900-1940, probably during the Republic period. Condition - excellent - no damages and no restoration...

Kashigata (wooden sweet mold) with a dynamic image of a minogame (mino = "straw rain cape," kame/game = "turtle/tortoise.") Early 20th C., Japan. L.13"(33cm) x W.5"(12.5cm) x H.1.125"(2.75cm,) 1 piece paddle type mold. Some minor insect damage to back of mold (see enlargements 4 & 5.) The tortoise is a symbol of long life in Japan, and in Asia in general...

This very well painted Chinese Famille Rose ceramic picture is 8 ¾ inches wide and 11 ¾ inches long (with frame is 14 ½ inches wide and 19 ½ inches long). It depicts two long-tailed birds standing on a higher branch looking at their offspring in their nest. This tile picture is a 1940’s product. It is in excellent condition.
