Skillfully sculpted in the late 1800's, this exquisite leaf compote is shrouded in a generous coating of gold aventurine. The leaf portion is very thin and masterfully executed freehand. The stem is hollow, and it and the foot are blown into a rib mold and are hot worked into a spiral pattern. At around age 120, the leaf compote is in perfect condition. Measuring 3.5"x6"x6.5"h., the piece is unmarked.

Nice triple relish ensemble by Axel Bruel (1900 - 1977), consisting of a trefoil-shaped centre piece with knob handle, and three plates. Decoration of vigorously painted flower sprigs in green over White, 1950's. Diameter of plates "6¾/ 17,5 cm, width of centerpiece "10¾/ 28 cm. Condition: a glaze flake to the edge of the knob, otherwise fine.

Being offered is a superb circa 1945 sterling silver pitcher by William Spratling, of Taxco, Mexico; handwrought bulbous form originally, specifically designed as a sangria pitcher with three applied floral motifs on the body; flared neck; ribbon handle with ruffle decoration, but of course pitcher can be used for water, iced tea etc. Dimensions: 7 1/2 inches tall by 7 inches diameter. No monogram. Marked as illustrated in photo. In excellent condition. Weight is a hefty 38 ozs.
