The border of the bowl is intricately decorated with chrysanthemums, peonies, and other flowers. The back of the dish has a red stamp and three bands of flowers. It measures 13" diameter. The wood has a beautiful grain. The yellow has mellowed over the years but it still strong and vibrant, the scroll cover fits snugly into the base, it glides gently into place. Thus box is just the thing to put a valued Chinese scroll.
