Set of four Bohemian glasses, each hand painted with a different pair of dogs. We're not dog experts, but they appear to be Scotties, wolfhounds, spaniels and Dalmatians. The quality of the painting is very nice, as is the quality of the glass. The top and bottom edges are decorated with gilt lines. The polished bottoms are acid-etched "Made In Czechoslovakia".

This is a Chinese Nephrite JADE PENDANT with a Carving of a LADY. The back has a depiction of a Leaf. Size is 1 5/8" X 3" X 1" in thickness. There is a pierced point at the top where a Pendant Bale can be attached.
This Carving has a Primitive feel. Based upon what the original owner told me, this Pendant was purchased in mainland China. Date this JADE LADY circa 1950, perhaps earlier. FYI...

A superb example of Wilhelm Kage's inventive Farsta series. The bowl, in various hues of blues, measures 4 5/8" in diameter and is 1 1/2" high, which sits on a pedestal that is 1 7/8" high. The pedestal is decorated with a series of minute holes. On the underside is incised Kage, Studio with the Gustavsberg hand, Farsta, Gustavsberg, and the letter A with two dots. Painted is the number 6963. This unique piece was created in 1957. Mint condition.

The Crinkle pattern was produced by Morgantown glass company in the late 1930's and into the 1960's. This is the 7 1/2 inch plate in topaz. This is the older style plate that used the original 1930 El Mexicano mold upon which this pattern is based. I have 14 available in topaz, price is per plate. Large sterling silver berry spoon in Kirk's wonderful "Repousse" pattern. Certainly the most famous of all silver patterns to emerge from Baltimore, "Repousse" is filled with flowers such as roses, daisies and forget-me-nots. The bowl of the spoon is decorated with mixed fruit including strawberries, apples, grapes and raspberries. The back is marked "S. Kirk & Son Sterling", the mark used between 1927 and 1961.

Other artists painted the decorations on all others and marked their work with their own specific insignias. The Hina dolls palace is for the Japanese Girl's Day, Hina Matsuri festival. The Hina doll set that I grew up with was displayed in the steps style, which is a common way of displaying 15 dolls with furniture. I have never seen this type of Hina Goten (Palace) until I found several of these recently. It tells us how different things used to be (and still is to some extent) according to regions. The hina dolls were modeled after the Imperial Court from the Heian period (794-1192)...
