Without a doubt I can say that after 33 years of dealing in Scandinavian ceramics this is the best creation of Gunnar Nylund I have ever encountered. The glaze is highly unusual complex of greens and earth tones. It measures 14 1/8" (37cm) tall and is 4" (10cm) in diameter. On the underside is incised R with three crowns, Sweden, and G.N. Beautifully decorated American Belleek creamer. This circa 1890 creamer was made by the Willets Manufacturing Co. of Trenton, NJ who produced their Belleek ware from about 1883 to 1909. The creamer is decorated with a floral pattern of gold and turquoise. The base is marked as shown in the accompanying photograph with Willets’ mark 2 which was used from the mid 1880's until 1909. The creamer is in excellent condition and measures 3 ½ inches tall and 2 ½ inches in diameter.
