The Florentine pattern was produced by Hazel Atlas Glass Company from 1932 to 1935. It was made with scalloped edges or straight edges. Although Hazel Atlas didn't distinguish one from the other, collectors today call the scalloped edge 'Florentine 1' and the straight edge style 'Florentine 2'. Offered here is the footed comport in pink in Florentine 2 - straight edge. Excellent condition, see my other listings for more in this pattern.

This unique figurine of a peasant boy carrying a sack, clearly demonstrates the artistic virtuosity of the Murano glass artists. It is highly unusual for a figurine to have hollow legs to support such tall statue. (We have only seen a similar figurine in Venice.) This Murano sculpture is superbly crafted and highly unusual in its clarity using only a subtle iridescence to accent the beauty of the Glass. This unique beauty stands 13" tall and is in excellent condition.

This pretty green Florentine Number 2, aka Poppy Number 2, depression glass 4 3/4 inch Two-Handled Cream Soup Bowl was made by Hazel Atlas from 1932 to 1935. These Akro Agate items are from the Large Interior Panel set (16 panels). The color is transparent topaz and was only made for one year (1935-6). This wonderful vintage piece is handmade by Morgantown Glass. The wine bowl is surrounded by medallions of dancing nudes and flaming torches. It sits on the Ballerina stem (#7630) of pulled glass that is attached to the broad, clear foot. This stem stands 6" tall and is in excellent, undamaged condition. I have other Morgantown and elegant glassware in my inventory... take a peek. Insurance and confirmation is included in the price.

The Manhattan pattern was produced by Hocking Glass Company from 1939 to 1941. Its clean, deco lines makes it very popular with today's collectors. Although this isn't listed with Manhattan in the catalogs, Hocking produced this cookie jar as a 'go with' item for the pattern. It was made during the same time period and sold along with Manhattan. This is a really nice pair of depression glass amber Madrid 4 inch high Salt and Pepper Shakers made by Federal Glass from 1933 to 1939. Both shakers are in very good condition with no chips or cracks. The original metal lids are good: one has two dents, the other shows wear, but they both work freely.
