This bowl is an excellent example of Murano glassblowers using the traditional technique of filigrana or latticino and applying this to a modern expression. The vessel walls are .5" - .75" thick, and the filigrana rods are imbedded in the thick walls of the form. Alternating rods contain aventurine. I have seen the exact same design with the Fratelli Toso blue foil label. Measuring 8" x 8" x 2.75"h. the bowl is in good condition, with expected wear on the base.

Slender and elegant vintage modern glass Nerox lamp by Ermanno Toso is constructed of cool blue and green opalino murrine. The colors remind me of the cool tones of the Venetian Lagoon which has inspired glass design in Murano for centuries. I've seem a pair of this design sell at auction for $9000.! The lamp measures 28.5" to top of glass and 40" to top of bulb socket, is in good condition, and would look great with a slender cylinder shaped shade.

RARE Early VENETIAN 3 Fish Decoration Art Glass SOFFIATI Vase!!! Believe it is a SALVIATI piece, from the early 1900s if not earlier!!! The fish are large ones, measuring about 5" long each. The vase itself is paneled, so even though it is rounded it gives the appearance it has sides to it. The Arcobaleno (rainbow) series was produced in 1956, and is documented in Carl Gables' MURANO MAGIC and Rosa Barovier Mentastis' ANZOLO FUGA. This rare and amazing creation by Anzolo Fuga is a unique and important 20th century design. The Arcobaleno is characterized by applied vertical stripes to the vessels body and a single large murrine at the base, magnified by the solid convex base. The murrine exhibits a kinetic effect as it is magnified by the curve of the base...

Exquisitely detailed clown sculpture in a variety of polychrome techniques with aventurine. There are remnants of a paper label. I'm not sure who made this, but my colleagues in Murano responded to the piece with a resounding "bello"! 9"h x3.5" x 3.5"

This Murano Glass modern expression is typical of the Flavio Poli vessel and animal designs for Seguso Vetri d'Arte in the 1940's and 1950's. There are many references to the modern forms with multiple sommerso layers of controlled bubbles and a generous layer of gold leaf by Flavio Poli. An identical form is documented in Leslie Pinas' book ARCHIMEDE SEGUSO on page 95, valued there at $500. -700. This fine modern expression is 7" in diameter, 2.75" tall...
