This superb rendition of a lovebirds pair resting on a crystal log surely is the work of Archimede Seguso. The colorization of the birds is achieved with fragments of blue and white opal filigrana cane, resulting in a merletto type effect which is largely Archimede Segusos signature technique. The birds' gestures, beaks, wings and tails are similar to birds depicted in Leslie Pinas' book on Archimede Seguso. The two ends of the log are nicely ground convex and polished...

A beautiful Murano glass handkerchief vase, made probably by Barovier & Toso (designer: Ercole Barovier) around 1950. The vase is made up of poly-chrome fused canes on a colorless ground glass. Offered is this exceptional set of Murano glass 'Nerox', covered jars, made by Fratelli Toso around 1960 - the jars were designed by Ermanno Toso. The taller jar is 11 inches (28 cm) tall and 4 inches (10 cm) wide. The tall jar is in excellent condition - even the lid is present and is without chips, cracks etc (most of these rare jars, when available, are without lids, converted to lamps, etc). The shorter jar has a couple of inner-rim chips (unseen when lid is in place)...

Venini 'a canne' bowl in alternating stripes of red, and clear glass, with applied clear glass foot. Foot has polished pontil and is stamped Venini murano ITALIA. The bowl measures 9.75 inches (24.7 cm) in diameter and stands 5.25 inches (13.3 cm) tall. It has a wavy rim like most 'a canne' pieces. Possibly Scarpa or Paulo Venini, of 1950's vintage. The bowl is in excellent condition, with minor scratches on the bottom interior of the bowl, but no chips, cracks or repairs. This is eye-catching!

Fine strand of prewar WWII, glass Venetian trade beads from Africa, L: 58cm/23in. These are strung on a contemporary cotton green string with copper wire fastener. Included on this strand is large “faux” amber center bead attached on a secondary strand of African sand cast beads. The Venetians have ostrich shell spacer disc beads. Free shipping!
Fulvio Bianconi designed the fasce verticale series for Venini. This pair is in good condition. The metal parts show the patina of age. An interesting detail regarding this pair is the rod that runs up the center of the lamp, concealing the wire, is covered with a ribbed clear glass tube which adds an attractive element of finish to the lamps. The lamps are 23" to top of glass.
This charming stylized Murano glass poodle is made with uranium glass and complimented with a generous distribution of gold aventurine. My colleague in Murano, the maestro Franco Schiavon, looked at the photos of this puppy and said "bello, Seguso or Barbini"! The poodle is in excellent condition, 7.5"h x 2.5"w x 3"d. unmarked
This fine piece of Italian fruit sculpture by Archimede Seguso was blown into a diamond patterned mold and has a skillfully applied arrangement of crown leaves, each leaf applied individually. Executed in pure crystal glass, the sculptural form attracts and refracts light beautifully. The pineapple is 11.5" tall, has a polished bottom, and is in good condition with no damage, unmarked.
This unique figurine of a peasant boy carrying a sack, clearly demonstrates the artistic virtuosity of the Murano glass artists. It is highly unusual for a figurine to have hollow legs to support such tall statue. (We have only seen a similar figurine in Venice.)
