Cover hinged and tabbed with engine-turned ornament bordering plain and raised top with triangles applied to upper left and lower right corners. Box and cover interior cedar lined. Underside leather lined. Fully marked. Very good condition. A few minor pings.

Late Empire safari flask. Made by James Dixon & Sons in Sheffield in 1924. Clear-glass body. Top encased in leather with cutout windows. Bottom has detachable sterling silver cup. Neck sterling silver as is hinged and cork-lined bayonet cover for convenient one-handed opening while holding tight to the rifle. A great alpha gift. Rare sterling silver ice tongs in Kirk’s popular “Old Maryland Plain” pattern. This pattern, designed in 1850, is one of the oldest patterns in Baltimore silver. Because it is so simple, it can appear both Colonial or contemporary, and works well with nearly any silver pattern. The tongs are marked with later 20th century Kirk hallmarks.
