Handsome hand hammered copper and brass water or beverage pitcher designed and signed circa 1940's by Taxco, Mexico artist Hector Aguilar (1905-86). Pitcher measures 7" tall, 6" from spout to handle. The base measures 5 1/2" across. Excellent condition. No dents, dings or repairs. Beautiful unpolished patina. Fully hallmarked HA TAXCO 994 for copper content. Lovely Art Nouveau brass over copper letter opener. Mostly copper colored now, there is some brass left on the detailing and the blade which shows off its beautiful antique patina. It measures 8 inches in length and the handle is .75 inches wide. At its deepest the handle measures .5 inches. The overall weight is 96.6g.

A fascinating manipulation of fired on patination to the copper or bronze, shouldered vase. A rich, earthy copper red fired on patina is on the interior and on the exterior serving as background to irregular streams, inlets and pools of dappled verdigris among, and picked out by, (seemingly) flames of speckled gold fading into the background color. We included one picture with filtered sunlight to better pick out the colors...
Early handmade arts and crafts copper and mirror box designed and signed by Taxco, Mexico artist Hector Aguilar. Meaures 6 1/2"L X 4 1/4"D X 2 1/4"H. Mirrors on 5 sides are in fine vintage condition with no cracks or chips. The copper has a beautiful untouched patina. Two corners on the base are slightly seperated which appear to be original to the handmaking of the piece. See pictures. Hinged mirror top opens to a copper interior. Tall and graceful pitcher and two mugs by the renowned late Mexican designer, Hector Aguilar. Most well known for his silver jewelry. His copper hollow ware is more rare and equally collectible. Pitcher is 13" tall; mugs are 5". The pitcher has the Aguilar mark but not the mugs. Excellent, untouched condition; circa 1950. $875 for the set.
