The tazza features the most complex pierced design featuring decorative foliate scrolls, wave-shapes and four figures. Each of the figures is different but bears a distinctly nautical theme. The first male figure reclines on a chair of waves and cat tails and holds a trident; the adjacent female figures ride various sea-beasts while one holds a downward-pointing spear...

Fine Donald Deskey for Ward Bennett Andirons. Iron and brass measuring about 15 /2" tall, 7 1/2" wide, and 17 1/2" deep. Great mid-century modern design.

Pair of finely detailed and colored, heavy, original painted cast iron bookends. They feature a log cabin with a red roof, surrounded by a forest of tall trees and shrubs beneath a full moon in a midnight blue sky. The casting is high quality with the trees and cabin in relief. The colors are original in red, green, blue, gold, brown, and white. Each bookend stands 6 1/4" (15.9 cm) tall, 4 1/2" (11.4 cm) wide, 2" (5 cm) deep and weighs 2 lbs. 4 oz. (4 lbs. 8 oz. for the pair)...

This cast iron "Sunbonnet Sue" or " Dolly Dimple" door stop / bank/ paperweight/ was made by Hubley (Catalogue # 150). It was designed by Grace G. Drayton. It is 7 1/2" tall. The diameter of the base is 3 1/4".

A nice pair of vintage c1900-20 copper patinated cast iron bookends in the form of Indian elephants. Measuring 5" long and standing 4" tall, these unsigned library or shelf decorations are in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than some slight surface rusting on the base of one and some minor casting flaws on the other (each has a few small paint flecks)...

Cast iron boot scrape in the form of a Scottie in its original blue paint. The two long spikes that hold the boot scrape in the ground are marked "Copyrighted 1927 By Household Patent Co. Morristown, PA." The company made a variety of metal products such as weather vanes and boot scrapes. Excellent condition; about 5% paint loss; the back side has remnants of old fabric-based adhesive tape that could be removed. 10" wide; 15.5" tall.
