Spratling designed this extraordinary pair of sterling wall sconces in the 1950's. Hand forged in sterling silver, each sconce measures 7 1/4" high X 7 1/4" across. Total weight of the pair is 300 grams. The sunburst composition is reminiscent of the sterling silver necklace Spratling designed for cosmetic entrepreneur & philanthropist Helena Rubenstein in the 1940's. The sconces are in beautiful vintage condition. Both are signed WILLIAM SPRATLING TAXCO MEXICO, eagle 30.

Super stylish Art Deco sterling silver compote. Round bowl with flared rim and curved and tapering sides. Ovoid support with Bakelite band to round foot with same. Visible hand hammering with nice shimmer. Italian marks (1934-44) including unidentified Roman maker’s stamp (14 Roma) and Milan retailer’s stamp (Fratelli Veneziani). Good condition. Bakelite crack on foot.

Very fine sterling silver trumpet vase with a ruby glass liner. The vase's body is intricately pierced in an acanthus leaf motif to show the rich red liner. The undulating flared rim lends a slight Art Nouveau feeling to the overall look. The base is marked for the Watson Co.
