A very good set of sterling silver cocktail picks, the tops decorated with colorful enameled roosters. The use of the rooster (“cock”) motif in Art Deco barware was a play on the word “cocktail”. Each of the roosters is enameled in a slightly different colorway. The picks are presented in their original fitted case. Each is marked "Sterling Silver".

A delightful set of six sterling silver Art Deco cocktail picks with finials in the form of the Devil. The little naked figure grasps a flaming torch in one upraised hand and his tail is replaced by the business end of the cocktail pick. No doubt, the picks were intended to remind one, rather tongue in cheek, of the sin of drinking! Each pick is fully hallmarked for Barker Brothers Silver Ltd...

Georgian-style sterling silver water pitcher. Made by Gorham in Providence, ca 1920. Baluster with leaf-capped double-scroll handle, v-lip spout, and round and stepped foot. Gadrooned rim. Traditional with nice heft. Fully marked including maker’s stamp, no. 81, and volume (4 1/2 pints). Very good condition.

The picks are presented in their original velvet- and silk-lined fitted case. This is only the second set of Devil picks we’ve managed to find in over 20 years of dealing in vintage barware...

A Sterling Silver Teapot and Coffee pot by gorham. There is a Date Mark for 1923 on both the Teapot and Coffeepot. The Teapot (Number A2412 and 1 3/8 pints) measures 6" high x 10.5" wide and weighs 14.6 Troy ounces. The coffeepot (Number A2411 and 1 3/4 pints) measures 8" high and 10" wide and weighs 17.3 Troy ounces. There is a monogram on each. In excellent condition.

An Arthur Stone Handmade Sterling Silver Large Pointed Serving Fork, Executed by George Erickson Arts & Craft Silversmith who worked at Stone Associates during 1915-1932, and then went off on his own. Dimensions; 9" long x 3.5" length for the tines- weight 3.2 Troy ounces. Excellent condition and no monograms.

This American sterling silver baby food pusher has a simple design as much in style today as it was at the turn of the century. The outside of the handle is monogrammed with E.R.C., inside handle base stamped with maker's mark, R W & S and STERLING; Measurements-handle 3.50 inches long, the blade measures 2 inches across. A Sterling Silver Bonbon Dish or Small Bowl in the Chippendale Style by Theodore B. Starr. From the 1920's; dimension 9" in diameter x 2" high, weight 9.6 troy ounces. Monogram. Excellent condition.

A Tiffany Sterling Silver BonBon or Candy Basket with a Fixed Handle and Pierced Rim. It is 9" in diameter x 2" high, (or 7" including the handle). The weight is 15 Troy ounces, with a monogram in the center of the basket "KB". It dates from the 1920's (the Tiffany mark is from 1907-1938)and is in excellent condition.

Each pick has a hook on the back of the rooster so that it can hang from the edge of the glass. Each is fully hallmarked for Birmingham, 1927. The picks are presented in their original fitted case embossed Abercrombie & Fitch.

This is a beautiful ladle measuring 12 3/4" in length. The bowl is in the shape of a large shell, and there is a lion engraved on the handle. There are four marks on the back of the handle which I tried to photograph. The first long one I can't make out, the second is the head of a lion with a crown on his head, the third is a full lion, and the last has initials which I believe to be HB. I believe the ladle to be Georgian.

Antique silver button collectors look at this set of four antique Far Eastern Chinese export foo dog lion or dragon motif repousse chased unmarked silver buttons. Although unmarked, they test at least 90% silver, yet may be sterling.
20mm across and look at that ferocity! 3mm holloware thickness.
The silversmith cut the front and backs, hammered and chased the front figural details, then attached the front and backs together...
