Persian Heriz hand knotted wool carpet, room size 9' x 12 1/2' Ca. 1950's, beautiful reddish geometric design in the center bordered by dark blue background, typical Heriz design, the condition is good, nice soft wool touch on the surface and very clean and in good condition.

A Persian Shahsavan bag dating from around 1900. The face is woven in wool in Sumakh flatweave technique, showing different repeating ornaments. The back is made of stripes in Kilim. Originally this wool bag was a double bag. Condition: clean, vibrant colors. The selvages with signs of partial wear, the back with damaged area. Dimension: 52 cm x 47 cm. It's a legitimate reflex to assume this unusual kilim comes from somewhere in the Caucasus Region, but further research suggests that the lion and double eagles in the center panel are actually Persian motifs de guerre...

Large folk art hooked cotton rug of a maroon horse outlined in black and with black hooves and tail trotting to the left against a tan ground with maroon corners and blue bands to enclose the horse. Some of the ground hooked in squares of different shades. Dots of brown for nose, eye and in the tail. 22 by 35 inches.

Condition: some wear and small losses around edges, stain at the edge above the horses head and below raised hoof...

From our World Handicrafts Collection (ex-Asia), a fine vintage Afghani tribal rug, wool on wool handmade construction, using exclusively natural pigments / mineral dyes. A modestly sized but very well-executed and elegant example that works well in either a rustic or formal decor.

Size and Condition: 57 inches long, 39 inches wide. There are some random expected thread pulls and light wear commensurate with age and use, but overall excellent condition.

Straight horizontal line hooked rug depicting Labrador in the center and Newfoundland in the upper left with whales, sailboats, seals and steamboats in the ocean as well as a compass rose in the lower left corner.. Aeolus blows from the upper right corner. The variegated black border surrounds the terracotta colored Labrador sitting in a pale blue sea. Details picked out in different colors and the sea shores outlined with brown, lavender and blue...

DESCRIPTION: A light brown and white pony hide rug, the soft fur longer than that of traditional cowhide. Wonderful for throwing over a sofa in your Southwestern home or Northwestern lodge, or toss it on the floor for a soft floor covering. Good condition. DIMENSIONS: 84” X 68"

From our World Handicrafts Collection (ex-Asia), a large and very fine Persian rug, hand-woven of wool and silk in a rich and elegant palette of deep red, dark and light blue, tan, mint green, pale orange, and cream.

Size and Condition: 10 feet and 4 inches long (124 inches), 7 feet and 8 inches wide (92 inches). There are some thread pulls and light general wear, but overall condition is excellent.
