Extremely fine antique hand-woven 2-sided silk tapestry purse, depicting a couple on one side and a lamb on the other. The pair of lovers are reclining in a pastoral setting, she in dishabille; they are pointing to a mirror she holds as he gazes into it. Another mirror (I think it’s a mirror!) lies in his lap; it looks broken! On the reverse, a lamb lies amid robes, next to a basket of flowers. The artistry, the coloration, the design, are all superb...
