Dining table and 8 wishbone chairs by Arthur Espenet (1920-2006). Espenet was born in New York and later settled in Bolinas, California. He was a self taught master woodworker and furniture maker with pieces in the collections of the Smithsonian Institute, The Museum of Modern Art and the Museum of Arts and Design in New York.

Paquebot is the French word for cruiseship, This style of French club chairs known as paquebot often filled the lounges on the classic cruiselines like La France, Titanic etc. They were built in the 1940s and are in excellent original condition with restored sheephide cushions. measurements: depth-38", width-35", height-32", seat depth-24", seat width-19", seat height-16"

A vintage Japanese Kamo Isho Tansu (Kimono storage chest) in 2 sections made entirely of Kiri (Paulownia) wood. All original metal hardware including the stylized Gumbai handles and the Plum blossom arabesque door lock plates. Upper section has a pair of sliding doors behind which lies two small drawers, a split level shelf and a pair of hinged doors that hide 4 removable Kimono trays...

A mid century artist signed Ikebana basket for flower arranging. Made of delicate fine split bamboo, thin bamboo and Akebi vine. The three dimensional shape resembles a flared skirt when viewed in front and a boat keel when viewed from the side. There is a subtle diamond shape design the artist created with the different shade of split bamboo. It is a beautiful whimsical design of space and function. Artist signed: Togyoku...

Made in Belgium wooden Footstool, Ca. 1930, 6" high, 13 " x 9" wide, carved legs and new upholstered seat. Old paper Label "Made in Belgium" is still remain on the bottom.

A beautiful camphor wood cabinet from China with fine carving and drawers/nice metal decor-fixtures. The main cabinet has 2 doors which slide inward along the sides for a computer, screen or TV etc. and the back side has a sliding wooden opening for electrical cables etc. Very nice condition, free standing, size: H. 178cm x W. 97 cm. x D. 66 cm. Extraordinary bronze group of a panther with black patina. On the lookout, on a large branch also in bronze, carved in a very realistic way, it seems to be watching its prey, ready to pounce. Provenance of a private mansion which placed an order with famous ovens in the early 1920s. It would seem to be a unique piece. More information will be done to the buyer Dimensions : L117 x H63 cm.

A vintage Chinese coffer altar cabinet in the Ming style made entirely of Huanghuali wood including the back and the interior shelves. All original brass square plate and loop handles with a pair of double hinged doors and 3 side by side drawers above. With classic spandrels and apron for the feet. The maker spared no expense using the finest quality materials and joinery craftsmanship in producing this piece.

Gendarme Vintage Solo French Club Chair. Huge, comfortable French Club chair solo. The Gendarme back chairs get their name from the Shape of Napoleon and the French Gendarmes(Policemans hat) from the mid 19th century.
