Pair of monumental sized Chinese coromandel type screens. Four panels each, for eight panels. Incised and polychrome lacquered decoration of immortals in heavenly palace-garden landscape. Good and serviceable condition. Vintage, probably about mid 20th century or earlier. Height, 8 feet high (about 244 cm). Width, each panel 16 inches wide (about 40.64 cm each panel).

Pair of office lounge chairs from Liceu de Artes e Oficios (School of Arts and Crafts) Sao Paulo, Brazil. The school which opened in 1873, has produced many famous artisans, designers and architects as well as well known large monuments and buildings.
These chairs are made of Brazilian rosewood and black leather.

Extraordinary bronze group of a panther with black patina. On the lookout, on a large branch also in bronze, carved in a very realistic way, it seems to be watching its prey, ready to pounce. Provenance of a private mansion which placed an order with famous ovens in the early 1920s. It would seem to be a unique piece. More information will be done to the buyer Dimensions : L117 x H63 cm.

A fine quality water pot for use on the scholars desk. The porcelain is very white and translucent. The fine blue art work shows two five toed dragons chasing the flaming pearl. There is a six character Guangxu Dynasty mark on the base, but it is not the mark used by the Royal Kiln. As the pot is not Imperial Ware we believe it was made during the Republic Period in Guangxu Style...

A mid century Japanese Biraki Kimono Tansu (chest with hinged doors) made entirely of Kiri (Paulownia) Wood. Two large hinged doors open to a set of three Kimono trays. Side handles used for carrying the tansu from place to place. Front door plates feature Paulownia flowers and leaves.

Tall Chinese hardwood cabinet in two sections, elaborately carved all over with scenes of eight dragons in light color wood on dark hardwood ground carved with swirling clouds, rocks and waves. The sides of the cabinet are also made of dark hardwood and carved with scrolling key fret motif. Brass hardware is incised with matching key fret and chimera designs. c. 1950. Florentine Italian rococo style coffee table with marble top. Circa 1920s-40s. This coffee table has a green painted finish with carved and gilded shell and acanthus decorative motifs and supports a rectangular off-white marble top with light brown veining and molded edges. Size: 60 inches in length x 20 inches width x 15.5 inches height. Nice condition (no chips or cracks to the marble), some minor flaking to some of the green painted surface.

Below are 3 drawers where personal effects were stored. Original hardware including the Warabite handles. Constructed using straight dovetail joinery and wood dowels to hide the nail connections.
