Offered is a wonderful, vintage 1920s, mini-drugstore, Hypodermic Medicine Traveling Case. Gone are the days when doctors would make home visits to their patients, but back when they did, portable, pocket-size cases such as this would be part of their treatment arsenal.

Measuring about 3.5 inches long, this case most likely contained medicines to help with treating chest pain. The pills were easy to dissolve in water, then filled into the syringe and quickly injected...

This is a wonderful example of a vintage, medical, lab test tube holder or rack, constructed of a hard wood, sporting 13 openings for the tubes and doubling as a storage/drying rack with 13 spindles on the back side.

Would personally love to keep this cool-looking piece because it has such interesting visual appeal while being functional! (Ideal for rooting small plant specimens!)

This is an often overlooked and rarely found drug store tool-of-the-trade used by the early pharmacist called a POWDER FOLDER. This nice example is from the late 19th century and is made of all brass. The functional portion of the folder is on the top side which can be adjusted to expand or contract the working surface. I believe this to be of English origin by S.MAW & SONS though it is unmarked.

This diminutive beauty measures less than 4 inches when closed and just over 2 inches wide...

Offered is an elusive early pharmacy "tool-of-the-trade" called a pill rounder. The early apothecary required multiple devices during the compounding of medicines into pills. This essential tool was designed to form the dough like medicine into uniform circular pills prior to using a pill silverer. The pill silverer coated the nostrum and thus finished off the process of pill making.

This handsome, lathe-turned, two-sided, wooden, pill rounder sports different depths to create two size pills...

Offered is a very scarce Mckesson and Robbins one pound bulk stock raw drug used in manufacturing medicinal ointments, cosmetic creams and pomades. Marked "U.S.P.", the fate of this block of SPERMACETI was most likely intended for health related products. The label states: "for manufacturing purposes only" and seems too pure for making candles.

The age of the very neat piece is from the late 1800s to early 19th century...
