Chinese oval shaped pebble of white and green jadeite, carved with the the head and arm of Shou the Star God symbolizing longevity and good health, holding a branch in one hand of a darker jade. Late 20th century.
Size: 2 3/4" high x 2" wide x 1" deep.
Chinese jade vase carved with blossoming flower branches and birds. Carved of a single jade pebble. The vase portion is a whitish green color and the flowers and birds are carved of the orange outer rind of the jade stone. Highly carved and three dimensional.

Japanese 20th Century woodblock print portrait of a nun by IKEDA SHU. The print is numbered 4 of 100 and dated 1969. Fine color and impression. There are slight creases in the lower right and left corners. The paper measures 15 1/4" wide by 23" tall. The actual print measures 13" by 20 3/4" tall.

Measuring 15.5 x 16 inches (39.4 x 40.6 cm), this textile from Kandahar, Afghanistan is embroidered in silk thread embroidery on a fine silk ground which is stitched onto a fine cotton linen panel. Depicting eight pointed star and rosette motifs in exquisitely fine satin stitching in counted-thread technique, the sheen of the silk is worked so that the light catches it in different settings, a characteristic feature of the embroidery ("khamak") of Kandahar...
A tobacco pouch from Indus Kohistan, probably Palas or Kolai valley. Cotton embroidered with silk in satin stitch. The string on the side of the bag is used to hang the pouch from a huqqa (water pipe) while it is being smoked. Circa second half of 20th century. Condition of this textile is excellent.
