Japanese Mid 20th Century print of "White Heron in the Rain" by IDE GAKUSUI (1899-1982). Signed and stamped by artist in lower right hand corner. Also, title and date in lower right hand border. Printed in Showa 25, or 1950. The feathers of the heron are embossed. Fine color and impression. This is the first printing of this famous print. A posthumous edition was printed in HEISEI period. The paper measures 10 1/4" wide by 15 3/8" tall. The print measures 9" wide by 14 3/8" tall.

Very simple box made of sugi-wood, corners and seams fortified with copper strips. Inside, behind a slide there is a pile of three boxes, the top most with a cover. Traces of usage, some warping, few tears in wood, generally good condition.

This hand made, gold plated over silver, ring is 1 inch long (measured on the top). It holds three amethyst stones. The large stone in the center is irregular. Two small ones on each side are round. The fancy workmanship makes this ring very dramatic and interesting. Since it was made as an adjustable ring, it can fit a male or female hand. Like Items 3358 and 3361, it also came from a Hong Kong jeweler’s collection. It is in excellent condition.
