This is a rustic brushpot a farmer in rural Hubei carved this out of a tree trunk. He spotted the branch at the right and decided not to trim it Hence this pot has a handle. Its skin is old and patinated. It is a charming pot. It dates from the 19th century.

Chinese Ma Shaoxuan glass inside painted portrait snuff bottle of a Chinese official. Spoon with red stone stopper (believed to be agate). Recessed base. On the front with the picture there is 6 characters of writing. On the back there is a poem with a red seal.

Condition: There is a gash in the top rim extending approximately 1". A restorer can repair this vase at minimal cost.

A Chinese spinach jade bowl. The cup is carved with deep rounded sides rising to a flaring mouth rim, supported on a short foot with a rolled base rim. The stone a deep green with grey flecks. The base with a six character Qianlong mark.

Beautiful Chinese hardwood 3 piece set including two large horseshoe back arm chairs and a matching rectangular stand, carved with a pierced scrolling vine motif, the heavy golden hardwood has dramatic grain. Possibly Huanghuali hardwood Size of each chair: 39 1/2" high x 29 1/4" wide x 27" deep. Size of stand: 28 1/2" high x 15 3/4" long x 19 3/4" wide.

Pair of Han Dynasty Winged Doist Imortals in Bronze. The near matching figures one with its core and the other with less patina has remains of a black lacquer surface. Beautiful detail . There are similar figures like these in Chinese museums. Google search for "Doist winged figures playing" and you can see similar pieces . A four panel coromandel screen with four porcelain panels set inside the screen surrounded with mother of pearl inlay of various human subjects set within a landscape. Each porcelain panel contains a short inscription describing the scene. The next line contains the date when the panels were painted (summer, year of the earth snake or approx. 1929).
