The painting is depicted of two beauties in between plum blossom trees and is dated 庚辰年夏 1940 summer (民國29年). Ye Darong, courtesy name as Xiangfu, son of Ye Manshu who was also a famous painter from Shanghai.

Contemporary mounting by the previous owner. Excellent condition.
Upper: Ink on gold leaf paper. The calligraphy writing by Jiang Zuo-bin (1884-1942), a political and military figure, and a diplomat during the Republic Period.
Lower: Ink and color on gilded paper. The painting was attributed to Tang Xue-shi, signed in 庚午年 (1930).
Excellent condition. Re-mounted by the previous owner.

Chinese Scholar’s two-tier solid rosewood stand with carved boxwood edges. Produced in the 1950s, this is actually a copy of a 17th - early 18th century style that was made of zitan and edged in boxwood. A strong stand that will hold your heaviest object, the pieces were machine made with rough carvings, hand assembled (pegged and glued), and then hand finished and polished. In excellent condition, the stand measures 12” long x 7.25" wide x 4” high.

Chinese teakwood tabletop display stand. Each of the four tiers for holding objects has carved frieze decoration. 18” wide x 15” high x 5 1/4" deep. 20th century. Very good overall condition. Some of the frieze decoration was loose and has been re-glued. From a Sun City West, Arizona collection. Please note that the miniature Chinese ceramics are not included.

Impressive hand carved and polished Lapis Lazuli carving of Shou Lao, the Chinese deity of longevity, standing with others, including a deer, on a log boat. Presented on a silver wire inlaid rosewood stand, this is a superb piece and comes in its own presentation box. It measures: Long 10" x High 7.25" x Depth 2.5" plus stand. Dates mid 20th C, late Republic/early People's Republic of China.
