Central floral pattern surrounded by a large tridimensional meander pattern.
These kind of carpets were traditionally used in the monasteries to keep warm while sitting during long pujia ceremony in the cold winter. But were also used by wealthy families.

Tibetan hand made Silver Bangle Bracelet, mid 1900's, 2 5/8" wide, 1" high, 1 1/2" wide opening, with raised Tibetan Script on top of the Filigree design.
Tibetan Buddhist Pray Wheel, 12" long, 2 3/4" wide for Copper Prayer Wheel, low relief Brass Buddhist symbols on the Copper on the side, raised Tibetan Letters on top of the Copper Cap with silver rim. The handle is old Bamboo with old round Shell in the middle, Silver Cap with punctured hole at the end. Old and new repaired mixture and new prayer script is stored inside the Copper Prayer Wheel.
This kiempa mask show a peculiar and unusual design especially of the eyes which remain a style often found in Rajbanshi mask. Whereas, the large mouth and teeth shows the usual design of the kiempa archetype.
Semi hard wood with obvious patina and signs of important use, circa early to mid of the 20th.

Lovely antique gau in silver, brass and copper, inlaid with colored glass. It measures 4 x 6 cm. It is strung on a modern necklace made of bamboo coral and turquoise colored stone. The necklace is 50 cm. long.
Two(2) Tibetan hand woven Sash or Belt, 1950's, long one-95" long x 1 3/4" wide, short wide one-36" long x 4" wide, very intricate design of hand woven belts, actually use this type of belt daily in highland rural area.
Tibetan Yak sling, hand woven black and cream color Yak Wool, throwing rocks in the highland to control Yak Herds, 70" long, 3" wide in the center, purchased in 1980 in Tibet, actually used by Yak Herders.

This Phurbu shows an elegant scaffolding whose base is an elephant carrying 2 floors each sheltering 4 protectors standing hands joined in the ritual gesture of Namaste. The triangular blade is of traditional design with intertwined serpents carved minimally that come together, unusual, at two mouths of Makara different. Very beautiful dark wood phurbu richly carved, the top shows 3 beautiful faces of protective ancestors of exceptional sculptural quality, each face measures 5 to 6 cm high. The top shows a miniature animal head (1.5 cm high), probably that of the mythical horse Hayagriva. The central part is a beautiful dorgi very finely carved. The triangular point shows a trunk wrapped in the mouth of Makara, each hand of which holds the head of a snake which rise from the point of the Phurbu; H 28.5 cm
A drum handle from a gompa used by a lama. The handle can be removed for a better handling, especially when the lama had to go for a family ceremony, marriage, funerals etc. the drum; the drum is quite heavy as it is made in a single piece of wood with almost no figurative carving only one chimeric animal on each side. Total height is about 94 cm; handle is 54 cm diameter 42/44 cm and thickness 20 cm.
Pair Himalayan Stupa Brass Chops, Seals, Stupa altar pieces, 2 1/4" high, 1" to 1 1/8" wide on the bottom, carved double fish and other Buddhist symbol inside hexagonal shape bottom, the condition is good.

Tibetan Shigatze Wool Rug with two(2) Dragons chasing Flame design in cream color 100% wool on cotton backing, bordered with wide floral branches in separate Cartouches, thick heavy weight, 72"(6') x 36"(3'), owner purchased in Shigatze in Tibet around 1980. Cloth label in the back and in good condition.
A very elegant and good quality woollen horse saddle blanket / rug in butterfly shape. In the centre it is decorated with peony flowers and stylised butterflies on a deep blue background and on the outer register are different type of mountain flowers and stylised clouds on light colour background. Border in plain red colour cotton.

This drum shows deep carvings, the 3 face s on top are rather unusual, they show fierceful faces , this handle has been collected from Chepang tribes from Hetauda district, this district is south of kathmandu , Chepang are more or less Gipsy people living in forests and they are moving often and are living in established houses. In the past 10 years they have been approach by christian missionaries and few years ago I saw many Dhyangro from this district arriving on the market in Kathmandu...
