Interesting set of two Indian or Nepalese silver figurines of musicians, c. early 20th. century.

The figures are made of fairly high grade silver, at least .800 or more. They are well-made with lots of added bangles and both playing instruments.

Mask likely figuring a demon (local name is Raktsatsa) metal teeth have been nailed, with two long teeth on each side of the mouth. Old India Juipar Silver (tested silver with acid silver test kit) Enamel Jewel Peacock on Wood Stand

It is 10.1 inches (25.7 cm) tall measured with stand by 6.65 inches (17 m) wide. It is 2.1 Lb.

It has chips at the tail, small bent at the tip of the tail, enamel cracks at tail & rock, missing enamels, and surface wears and scratches (as seen in the photos).

Beautiful bronze offering chalice from India with one large peacock surrounded by four smaller peacocks, bowing their heads in worship to the central bird. A very typical figure from the remote Karnali area showing a so called "Protector" coated with white mineral pigment (Seto mato) mostly on the front side.
