A nice impressive size at 20.25” long, this all silver Thai tray features a wide raised edge with hand chased scrollwork and mythical birds. The scalloped rim has a beaded edge and this tray also has four small ball feet on the bottom. It is 85% silver and weighs 680 grams. Not too heavy in weight, it can be hung and displayed on your wall. A wonderful collector’s piece., it measures 20.25" long x wide 13.75". Stands 2" high
Two etched bamboo section containers- these were used to hold cotton tufts and spindles- worn at a woman’s waist during the making of textiles. Beautifully carved with geometric designs and one has a strand Jacob’s Tears beads. Circa 1960 to 1970. Good pieces acquired about 20 years ago, cannot be found anymore. Balinese antique pair of Dwarapala temple guardians. Carved of stone, these figures once guarded a temple entrance, a warning to humans and negative energies not to pass. Their ferocious appearance is a warning that only those with good intentions will be ushered through and guided to ascend a higher path.

From Timor in Indonesia, the Belu province, Atoni (Antoni) tribe, the cow skull mask was used in rituals surrounding the planting and harvesting of crops, has human head upon base that is scrimshawed in geometric designs.
Measures 11' high, 5" wide and is 2 3/4" deep.
There are four holes in the side of the mask, two on the head section, and the other on the "shoulder" of the figure (visible in photos), used to attach as a mask.

Very old face mask, of oval form, with minimalist cubistic features typical of this area. Strongly eroded wood, age patina. Indonesia, Timor island. Height: 31 cm. Mounted on a custom stand. Provenance: acquired in situ early 20th century, ex old Dutch collection.
A finely carved lime box, its body in the form of a cone surmounting a flaring cylinder, decorated with three levels of an elaborate geometric design which is changing at each level. The stopper itself is decorated with two human heads back to back surmounting the neck adorned with a necklace. A bone spoon and a bone point are attached to the stopper, the link adorned with wood beads and tiny old glass beads. Fine age patina. Indonesia, Timor island. Height: 16.5 cm. Very good condition.

A 20th Century example of a tradition laos rain drum cast in bronze. Three frogs (12 altogether) on top with a twelve pointed star with continuing concentric circle with stamp decoration. The side has two short vines with a feaf design. snails representing water and fertility.

Wayang topeng mask, finely carved in wood to represent a typical character of that theater, with strong features, painted in polychrome colours to underline some areas. Animal hair was affixed to the mask to represent the hair and the moustache of the character. A wood bar was affixed to the inside of the mask, probably to allow the bearer to hold the mask with his teeth as is done sometimes. An inscription made by its former owner indicates the origin of the mask...
