Kazak hand knotted rug made of wool from the middle east. Beautiful central medallion with blue, red and green design on a pale yellow/cream colored ground. The border has unusual medallion shaped design in red with blue, blue with yellow, and light pink with green. It measures 8' by 10'8".
Vintage East Indian altar shrine, made from brass with copper nails. The step base leads into the shrine with embossed tree panels behind four pillars. The top of the structure has two peacock shaped finials. Openwork repeating patterns and floral motifs are shown throughout.

This is a finely hand-painted Indo-Persian Central Asian miniature painting depicting a sitting, turbaned young man holding a drinking cup. The painting is a gold and gouache masterpiece on paper, signed "Ashina" in Arabic script. The inner border is decorated with a gold lattice motif, while the outer borders feature foliate motifs. Carved Wood Quran Stand, Koran Stand, late 1800- 1920, 18" high when closed flat, 10 3/4" wide and 14 1/2" wide, 7 1/4" deep when fully open, all in one piece, there are lot of small detailed carvings are worn and stained.
This man's beaded hat aka skullcap is typical of the Pashtun people in the region of Southern Afganistan. Because of the extensive beading pattern, it is rather stiff and heavy.
Presumably, the interior layer of fabric was from pieced of fabric from other garments.
A lovely powder flask out of an old collection, made in wood in the shape of a Pilgrim flask with a chiselled star in the front, reverse with a faint leaf pattern. North Africa, 19th. century.

This item was made, in art deco style, in Syria in the 1920s or 1930s.

Kushan Islamic turquoise blue glazed oil lamp with elongated spout, pad base, tall neck and flared rim. The lamp measures 5 ins. in length. The turquoise glaze has a black design detail and a wonderful iridescent surface. The top of the rim chipped, superb color and glaze, and overall a very fine example old restoration and reconstruction as is usual with pottery of this kind.
