Quality, Japanese lacquered wood kimono hanger. The hanger comes in the box with the old tissue paper inside. The writings on the box and the tissues (old with lots of storage stains - appeared new in the photos) indicate that it was "Made by Wajima", pre WWII. Wajima lacquer has been know for the best for it's superior quality. Very light (kiri wood inside?). Taisho to early Showa, 1920 to 1940. The condition is new (stayed in the box without being used). 25" long, 5/8" in diameter...
Crown Devon bowl in the rare and lovely Fairy Castle pattern (2405). 8 3/4" in diameter and 3 1/2" high. The bowl does have a couple of minor flaws which do not greatly detract - a scratched area of about 2" on the outer section mostly on the blue, and some staining from use inside at the centre - mostly on the blue but some discolouration on the castle section. Still in LOVELY condition with no chips, cracks, repairs. The bowl is possibly not Mattajade, as it has a glossy glaze...
This is a good quality kasuri fabric; it has a body but is not stiff, medium in the thickness, 13 3/4" in width x 34 feet (408") long. White kasuri area is light blue color, not white as it appears in the photos. This will be sold by yards.
This fine rib mixing bowl was made by federal Glass Company in the 1920's. 8 3/4 inches in diameter, the base is square so that the bowl rests flat when in use. Newer Japanese bridal hair ornaments with roses and chrysanthemums. The butterflies on the chrysanthemums are attached with springs and are pretty flimsy; there are crawling snails on the rose leaves. Beautifully detailed as you can see. Your hair may look little too busy if you are to wear these all at once unless you have a huge dimensional hairdo as they used to (or they still do for the special occasions) back in Japan...
A very nice set of 12 French-style linen cocktail napkins with a delightful woven rooster pattern. This is an especially colorful set made from very high quality fabric. They would look especially good with a great rooster cocktail shaker or used for a cocktails on a patriotic holiday! Ten are in perfect condition, 2 have some staining. Circa 1940. Size: 5” x 8”.
This is a fabulous heavy French crystal vase signed "Cristal Sevres France". The vase stands 9" high and has a diameter of 5 3/4" at the widest point. It has a swirl of glass about 3/4" wide that winds around the vase. The vase is heavy (5 1/4 lbs) and is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks.

This advertisement poster and calendar from 1930 Shanghai era is an advertisement for Imperial Shanghai Fire Insurance Company. Right below the Company name it listed the following information: "Company's capital is 10 million yuan". Below the picture of an elegant lady holding an Afghan hound is a 12 month calendar. The artist name was signed on the lower left corner. The background appears to be of European flair.
