Horn has two applied bands with leafing scrollwork and cast green man applied to front. At top a third band with mandolin-strumming maidens and coat of arms-bearing pages in cloister colonnade. Cover domed with leaf-mounted cast figural finial in form of winged Classical man in drapery and helmet pouring wine into a cup. Tail cap has acanthus leaf border with cast owl finial. Midcentury Modern sterling silver water pitcher. Designed by Alphonse La Paglia (d. 1953) for International Silver Co. in Meriden, Conn. Baluster with helmet mouth. Capped high-looping handle with volute-scroll terminal mounted with Blossom-style seeding pod. Open foot ring inset with stylized flower and bead border. An original American design that pays homage to Danish master Georg Jensen. Marked “International / Sterling / La Paglia Designed / 118”. Excellent condition.

Pair of turn-of-the-century German 800 silver bobble-head boxes. A two-man percussion band comprising baby-faced drummer and wizened cymbalist. Rotund bodies squeezed into olden-days doublet and hose with neck-ruff covers. Feather-capped heads bob, bob, bob along to the music. Perfect timing not guaranteed. Marked. Excellent condition.

A unique and heavy sterling turquoise squash blossom necklace and earring set by Navajo artisan Hemerson Brown. The silver has been "antiqued" . The necklace measures 23" while the naja measures 2-1/2" x 2-1/2". The earrings (for pierced ears) are 2-1/4" x 1-1/2. Total weight 5.4ozs.

Large French Etruscan 950 silver coffeepot, ca 1820. Ovoid body with spool neck, side-hinged cover, and raised and round foot. Upright S-spout with ram’s head mouth, and low relief leaves and gadroons. Leaf-and-dart borders. Cover has bud finial on scroll and flower mount. High-looping stained-wood handle with silver mounts: a ram’s head at top, a garlanded face at bottom. Robust Classicism. Fully marked including maker’s initials AL. Fine condition.

Edwardian stoneware match strike with sterling silver collar. Made by Royal Doulton in Lambeth in 1909. Globular with cylindrical interior and silver collar. Applied ornaments include windmill, pipe-smoking peasant, and running dogs. Shaded brown and cream glaze. A homely piece in the Dutch style. Fully marked on underside and collar. Excellent condition.

Turn-of-the-century Art Nouveau glass vase by historic maker Loetz with engraved silver overlay. Cylindrical with bellied top and bottom, and short inset neck. Overlay in form of open and horizontal pattern with stylized leaves and scrollwork. Glass is Titania pattern with shaded streaky green in vertical leaf arrangement. Silver marked “Sterling”. Excellent condition.

Chinese silver censer, ca 1910. Drum-form agate body set in silver gilt mounts with scrollwork and lunettes. Leaf-capped side bracket handles. Upward tapering support and stepped foot with fretwork brackets. Cover raised with pierced scrollwork borders bud finial with leaf brackets on solid central mount with scrolls and fan. Silver gilt and heightened with blue, green, and red enamel. Marked “Silver”. Very good condition.

Turn-of-the-century Art Nouveau glass flask with engraved silver overlay. Flat with curved sides. Overlay in form of grain stalks and fruiting grapevine. Asymmetrical cartouche engraved with script monogram. Silver neck collar and hinged and cork-lined cover. Glass is clear. Lady’s medicinal size. Can be held in one small gloved hand. Marked “Sterling” and numbered “232”. Excellent condition.

Japonesque mixed metal sterling silver bowl. Made by Gorham in Providence in 1883. Curved sides with allover spot hammering and gilt-washed interior. Applied copper and silver ornament: Rim overhung with fruiting and leafing branch mounted to exterior with exploratory fly, and opposite, a bonsai branch. An antique American Edwardian delicate filigree platinum bow pin decorated with a center round diamond and inlaid with small diamonds throughout the bow. A small circular pendant of diamonds with a center drop diamond hangs from the bow. American, circa 1900 approx. 1 carat of diamonds total. Excellent condition, the pin measures 2" in length.

Set of 12 Edwardian sterling silver holders. Made by Schofield in Baltimore, ca 1910. Each: Round and curved bowl with floral repousse; open bottom and plain spread foot. High-looping side handles with case repousse-style floral ornament. With: Cream porcelain inserts with gilt rim bands. Originally intended for bouillon but perfect for rich treats like ice cream and custard. Holders marked “Sterling” with maker’s mark. Inserts have maker's mark (Lenox). Very good condition.
